Peter Goldschmidt specializes in complex residential and commercial real estate transactions and disputes, including litigation. As part of his full-service real estate practice, Peter handles intricate title matters (including title insurance, boundary disputes, easements, covenants, liens, and surveys), construction and design agreements, commercial leasing, and landlord-tenant matters. As an integral part of his practice, Peter also creates structures to safeguard client confidentiality, including privacy trusts.
Peter brings invaluable litigation insight to help his clients solve problems efficiently. After completing a federal appellate clerkship, he has represented real estate, entertainment, technology, and other clients in high-stakes litigation (including disputes over real property, intellectual property and trade secrets, privacy, profit participation, defamation, and employment) in jurisdictions across the country. Peter’s litigation experience allows him to structure transactions in a way that avoids disputes for his clients down the road. And when his clients come to him with a problem, Peter takes a solutions-based approach to resolve the issue and minimize impact in and out of court.
Peter is a volunteer with the National Lawyers Guild, and he is a member of the LGBTQ+ Lawyers Association and Public Counsel.
